Critical Energy, Critical Needs How to Prepare For, Respond To and Recover From Natural Disasters and Emergencies.
Many campus energy systems provide critical services to communities, healthcare facilities, research centers and laboratories. Unplanned outages and service interruptions can be costly in terms of human safety and losses in research, operations and productivity. This workshop is designed for open discussion on best practices, emergency preparations, response and recovery. Participants will hear front-line experiences from tested professionals and discuss new approaches in systems configuration, communications and restoration. Engineering consultants will hear real world requirements to enlighten system design approaches. Operations personnel will hear how to prepare for, manage through, and recover from challenging emergency events.
