Summary

This presentation introduces an established DP meter validation tool. The primary aim of a validation tool is to assure the meter user of correct meter operation, thereby reducing the need for routine maintenance. However, in the event of gas meter abnormal operation, such as wet steam flow, a validation tool must indicate this. Examples of the DP meter validation tool will be given for use with orifice and cone meters.
