Summary

With the introduction of advanced equipment and complex optimization, operators must have a fundamental understanding and training of the system and equipment.

WM Group has a contract with a prominent pharmaceutical firm to review plant operation on a daily basis and advice operators on which equipment to dispatch and what set point to utilize. The scope also requires mapping of each equipment at varius load condition and at the end of the year provide total guidance on how to operate the system at optimum point for 8,760 hours. This paper will discuss the findings of this project along with other optimization case histories.
