IDEA is proud to announce our 7th annual CampusEnergy Student Video Contest!

Launched in 2012, this contest challenges students from IDEA member institutions to create a short video (under 3 minutes) about their campus energy plant, focused on district energy and/or combined heat and power (CHP). The primary goal of the contest is to enhance general awareness among students of how their institutions' district energy systems and their operators provide a reliable, economic, efficient and environmentally sound means of heating, cooling and powering their campuses. By posting the winning entries on the IDEA website, YouTube page and social media, submissions will also help to educate the general public about district energy and its role in campus sustainability.

Submissions must be created by students enrolled full-time or part-time in a college or university that is an IDEA Member. Not sure if your institution is a member? Feel free to send us an email and ask! Not a student? That's ok! We also need your help by circulating the contest information around your college or university to anyone in your student body who might be interested. We have even made it easy for you by putting together an informational flyer that you can use to hang up around campus or email to anyone you think might want more information.
