Summary

In December 2011, Ford Motor Company closed its Twin Cities Assembly Plant. The campus is 157 acres, is located on the east bank of the Mississippi River, surrounded by a vibrant residential community and business district. Ramboll is working with the City of St. Paul and its technical committee to identify the feasible opportunities, technologies and strategies to pursue a sustainable redevelopment of the site. The ambition is to establish a low temperature district energy system that balances economic viability with environmental excellence to serve as a lighthouse project for the city.
