Bio

John Andrepont is the founder and president of The Cool Solutions Company, which has, since 2000, provided professional services in support of the successful technical and commercial development of Thermal Energy Storage (TES), District Cooling (DC), and Turbine Inlet Cooling (TIC) applications.
 
John has been involved in the development of well over 100 TES projects and more than a dozen District Energy systems, as well as large and small TIC projects, on five continents.

He is an active member of:
·         ASHRAE, serving on its technical committees for Thermal Storage, District Energy, and Cogeneration Systems, and on the subcommittee for Combustion Turbine Inlet Cooling;
·         IDEA (International District Energy Association), having served as a Director for 5 years, on the Executive Committee for 2 years, and as Technical Chair of 3 Cooling Conferences; and
·         TICA (Turbine Inlet Cooling Association), serving as a Founding Member, Director, and past-Chair.
 
John graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy, New York, with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering.  He is the author of numerous technical papers and articles and is the inventor of over a dozen U.S. patents.
