IDEA to Offer Job Classified Advertisements

As a new service to our members, IDEA will now offer a job classified section in this monthly newsletter. This section will include opportunities for companies with open positions in the district energy industry to advertise the position, either as a detailed ad or as a blind ad.

The district energy industry has experienced growth and employee movement with new district cooling systems being built and the mergers and acquisitions of systems. With this increased movement among members we have received requests to help facilitate the member companies that have job openings and the members that are seeking jobs.

District Energy Now has a circulation of over 1,500 people in the district energy industry and is the perfect place to put your advertisement if you wish to find an new employee in the district energy industry.

Following are the details of the two types of ads that will be offered:

Regular Ad - $1 per word, $25 minimum

Blind Ad - $2 per word, $50 minimum (IDEA keeps the company name confidential. Job seekers will submit their resume to IDEA and it will be confidentially forwarded to the advertising company).

Companies will submit a job advertisement in paragraph form to IDEA-Job Classifieds by the 20th of the month before the ad will run. The ads will be retyped and printed as received. (Prices are per ad for one issue)

To submit an ad contact Jason Harbonic at IDEA (202) 429-5111.

Don't Miss the District Energy Space Deadline

Again, we are requesting information to publish District Energy Space, a comprehensive compilation of all of the new customers added to IDEA member district energy systems during the year. This feature will be published in January in the First Quarter, 1997 issue of the magazine.

We are eager to receive information from all of the member utilities and physical plants, so we can continue to show just how much district energy is growing as an industry. Only new customers signed up after September 1995 are eligible.

The deadline to be in this issue of District Energy Space is Friday, August 30, 1996.
