Summary

This joint U.S. DOE Southwest Combined Heat and Power Technical Assistance Partnership (SW CHP TAP) and IDEA webinar will present the significant energy efficiency and power resilience opportunities that come with Combined Heat and Power (CHP) applications at colleges and universities. We will present real-world cases of these applications and discuss how your campus can implement CHP with the assistance of the DOE's CHP Technical Assistance Partnerships.

DATE: Wednesday, May 4, 2016

TIME: 1pm - 2pm EDT


Gavin Dillingham, Director of the DOEs Southwest CHP TAP will give an overview of CHP in higher education, how it is used, and how the CHP TAP can work with your facility to evaluate the potential for CHP.
Laxmi Rao, Director,  International District Energy Association will present best practices and case studies regarding CHP for Higher Education. She will discuss the advantage provided by the aggregated heat load of a district energy system in deploying large scale CHP.

Henry Johnstone, an IDEA subcontractor, will present a case example of the data needed for higher education sites to assess the potential for CHP.
