Summary

EMU is replacing a failed 28-year-old CHP Plant. EMU has elected to replace the existing CHP Plant with a new 7.8 MW and 90 MMBTU HRSG. The existing CHP Plant was supplemented electrically by DTE and thermally by two 1960’s vintage 100 MMBTU boilers. The new CHP Plant will provide increased electrical and thermal energy (steam) to the Campus.
