Summary

Disinfection is a critical aspect of water system treatment especially when it comes to Legionella control by eliminating biofilm and maximizing microbiological inactivation. District energy facilities have improved water management by converting their disinfection programs to treatment with MIOX while eliminating all other biocides including bromine, chlorine dioxide and delivered hypochlorite. Experiences from a university hospital customer site, including a side-by-side comparison of two disinfection programs at the same facility, will be presented.
