Hybridized Variable Speed Chilled Water Pumping Configuration using Constant Speed Pumps

06-14-2017 16:17

Summary

Converting from primary/ secondary pumping to variable primary pumping is a common approach in chilled water plant renovations. For ANW Hospital, the solution to implement a hybridized system – leaving existing primary pumps at constant speed while converting secondary pumps to variable speed rivals of the performance of using a combination of variable speed primary and secondary pumps. This presentation focuses on how the system was modeled and the performance and operation.
