Increasing Project ROI by Optimizing Onsite Campus CHP Units via Advanced Software

06-19-2017 11:15

Summary

Algonquin College in Ottawa is investing in a sustainable and economical energy future. Started with a long-term energy savings contract using building automation systems to reduce demand, Algonquin is now investing in two CHP units. This local power network will be managed by a central software system that optimizes the CHP and building automation system. Deciding the optimal thermal and electrical energy mix, the software contributes additional cost savings to the project, increasing overall ROI.
