Summary

The University of Missouri (MU) strives to provide a healthy and safe learning environment and is working to achieve climate neutrality in line with the American College and University Presidents’ Climate Commitment. This presentation reviews current campus programs including:

1) Ongoing investment in an Energy Conservation Program
2) Installation of on campus Solar PV, Wind Turbine, and Solar PV demonstration projects
3) Installation of a Biomass CHP system using locally sourced wood residues
4) Adoption of LEED and ASHRAE 90.1 building standards

In this presentation we’ll highlight how these proactive steps have positively changed the perception of MU’s District Energy System.
