Summary

It has been thirty years since District Heating system was introduced to Korea. As of the end of 2015, approximately 2.5 million households, about 16% of the total heating consumption, are using DH and 35 DH companies are operating district heating projected. Currently, the user's facilities do not repair even when the facilities are failure, and they are operating the facilities inefficiently, which reduces the efficiency of district heating.  In this study, the effect of performance and economical loss of district heating sources by the return temperature of individual district heating users on the total return temperature is calculated.
