Summary

With the recent advance of modern technology such as smart devices, cloud computing, and Internet of Things (IoT), accessing information anytime using different devices has become part of life.

With this landscape ahead, the University of Texas Utilities and Energy Management Department understood the need to create a unique system that could provide key information from several systems with different platforms on a single easy to use interface, providing users the ability to remote access information.

This paper explains how UT and the Utilities and Energy Management department achieved the goal of capturing different platforms data by development of the UT Enterprise Dashboard with the mindset of overcoming technology challenges, as well as describes the underling technologies and decisions made along these lines.
