Clearway Community Energy (Clearway), a comprehensive energy solutions provider, has announced the selection of Earl Collins as its new CEO.
Collins comes with over 32 years of experience as a successful executive leader in engineering, construction, operations, and maintenance for the power, industrial, and renewable energy market sectors.
“Collins’s strategic expertise and experience in the industry bring new and valuable insight to our team. With a passion for safety, commitment to culture, and a great track record for growth he is a great fit to lead us into the energy transition,” said Clearway Director of Sales and Marketing, Scott Barr.
Before joining Clearway, Collins led as Group President of the Clean Energy and Infrastructure (CE & I) Group at MasTec, one of the nation’s top industrial, power, and renewable energy construction companies. During his 7 ½ years leading the CE & I Group, revenue grew from $200M to over $2B, and the Group’s compound annual growth rate reached upwards of 40 percent. He also successfully spearheaded the entry into new markets through a focus on decarbonization—all while improving CE & I’s safety results.
Collins has extensive experience in leadership, previously holding the roles of President at CH2M Hill’s EPC business for energy and chemicals and President of Willbros Group, a global engineering and contractor company. He also holds over 17 years of experience at Kiewit, one of the largest construction and engineering organizations in North America, in various roles including Field Engineer, Project Manager, Project Sponsor, and Area Manager.

Collins holds a BS in Construction Engineering from Iowa State University where he earned a commission as an officer through the Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps program.
