Promote Your Session

Social Media & Web Promotion

Once again, congratulations on being selected to present at CampusEnergy 2026!

To help build buzz and generate awareness of both your session and the conference, we strongly encourage you to promote your participation as a presenter on social media.

IDEA is here to help - please read on for resources and instructions on how to move forward.

Your Personalized Social Slide!

Promote Your Session on Social Media

Posting on both your personal and professional social media channels helps you reach prospective attendees, position yourself as a thought leader, and strengthen your organization’s brand.

Consistent, relevant, and engaging posts—along with active participation in industry conversations—are key to building awareness and helping audiences understand the value of your session.

With a collective groundswell of engagement on social media, we can elevate your profile, expand the reach of the CampusEnergy conference (#CampusEnergy2026), highlight the benefits of district energy, and drive attendance to your presentation.

Promote Your Presentation Early and Often

To help you promote your session on social media, I have included a Social Media PowerPoint (.ppt) slide that you can edit to include your photo and session title. Once edited, you can save the file as a .png or .jpeg file and upload the image in your post.

There are 2 slides in this deck. Slide 1 is the template you use to create your social media image. Slide 2 is an example of what your final slide would look like, with photo, title of session, day/time of session and your name. This is the slide you will save as a .png/.jpeg to post.

To add your photo to slide 1, simply click on the “click icon to add picture” button and select your headshot.
To add your session title and date speaking in the “Click to Add Text” box. The slide deck provided includes the template and examples of the slide as you go through the process. Once you have your slide designed, save that slide as a .png or .jpeg which you can then upload into social media.
I have also included Bitly (or shortened) links to direct attendees to the CampusEnergy2026 Home page, Education Schedule, Registration page, and exhibitors page (if your company is exhibiting as well). Those are listed below, and can be cut and pasted into your post as you see fit, whether it be in the text of your post or in the comments section.

Below are a few sample posts to get you started and be sure to tag IDEA and your colleagues or co-presenters to boost reach and engagement. Also, include any relevant hashtags (4 is best) to help others find your post. A list of relevant hashtags is below as well.

PLEASE contact Jason Beal if you have any issues.

We've added a little incentive for you to post.

When you post, you’ll be entered to win a prize in our CampusEnergy2026 raffle drawing (drawing made in the exhibit hall during the conference). You'll also have your session highlighted post-conference in a special feature on our website and newsletter.

It’s simple: post to your social platform of choice, tag International District Energy, and send the link to Jason Beal so we can amplify it on our channels. Your post should include a brief message encouraging your network to register and attend your session.
