Combustion Turbine Selection and Optimization: Harvard Blackstone CHP Expansion

10-16-2017 16:48

Summary

Harvard is expanding CHP capability at its Blackstone facility by adding a new 7.5 MW combustion turbine and HRSG to improve environmental performance and campus energy supply reliability.

A study will be described that established feasibility, screened multiple options, and selected final project configuration from among preferred options.  Use of thermodynamic models, financial models, environmental performance, historic load data, pricing forecasts, dispatch simulations, and regulatory logistics during screening and final selection will also be described.
