Lessons Learned From a Number of Microgrid Feasibility Studies

GE Energy Consulting developed detailed engineering designs and business models for 5 NY Prize Stage 2 microgrid projects that represent diverse service areas, DER, stakeholders, utilities and customers. Among the key findings is that while each project is unique in its technical and economic requirements, there are several common barriers and enablers to eventual development.This presentation highlights lessons-learned from working with utilities, stakeholders, and customers, and regulators to drive projects to implementation.
