The IDEA Archives is a new
and continually growing tool that provides an online
searchable library of past conference proceedings, magazine
articles, and conference papers. If you are a member of IDEA,
then access to the documents is free and can be found by
moving the mouse over the "Members Only" section of the home
page banner and clicking "IDEA Archives". You will need to
have your username and login to access this part of the site.
If you are not a member then you can download an article for
$5.00 (cost per article is subject to change).
Once in the Archives
section, enter keywords in the "Filter" text box, and select a
field to search in the "Filter By" dropdown list. You can
search through a specific field, i.e. just keywords, or just
abstracts, or you can search through all the fields. You can
also sort by a field by clicking on the header at the top of
each column. If your article is not displayed, try entering
less search criteria, or entering a different word with the
same meaning, i.e. AHU instead of Air Handling Unit, or CHP
instead of Combined Heat and Power. If you are a member,
click on the title field and you will be prompted to open or
save the file. It is recommended to save the file to your
local hard drive before opening it for better performance. If
you are not a member you will be taken to a shopping cart
where the article can be added and purchased, at which point
an email will be sent to you so you can download the file. If
you need more information on the document, click on it's
abstract, this will expand and show you the full abstract.
The login button is for
customers who have previously purchased from the site.
Upon check out you are asked to provide an email address and
password which are used for logging into this secure area of
the site. It allows you to place orders under the same
account, update your contact information, view the status of
an order, download previous orders, and print invoices.
All documents are in Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) and
can be opened using Adobe's free program Adobe Reader
available at www.adobe.com.
Thank you and enjoy the site!
