Energy infrastructure at UT Austin is highly efficient on the supply side, and future efficiency opportunities relate to existing and new building demand reduction. As the university undertook review of its planning options to meet future growth, energy supply and its utilization were highlighted as critical components of a successful master plan. UT Austin’s first Demand Side Strategic Plan provides a roadmap for energy goals and will help maintain reliability and efficiency of the plant.
