This unique project was for 44 MW CHP addition to the existing central utility Plant at MIT. Project included two Solar Titan 250 dual fuel / SoLoNOx combustion turbines with Hamon Deltak HRSGs. This project replaces a 22 MW CHP that went into service in 1996 to create a large scale microgrid that enhances MIT’s campus resiliency while reducing greenhouse gasses. The project was planned and executed in a tight urban environment and integrated with an existing mission critical operation towards the future.
