08-16-2023 15:49

Session Abstract

This presentation will cover a case study completed as part of an IEA-DHC Annex XII funded project, to assess the technical economic potential of integrating a large-scale underground aquifer thermal energy storage (ATES) system into York University Keele campus in Toronto, Ontario. Results of eleven case study scenarios and system controls that were considered for integrating ATES into York University campus district-cooling loop with a peak-cooling load of about 17MW will be presented.
