IDEA is pleased to accept abstract submissions under the Call for Presentations for our June 2020 Annual Conference & Trade Show. The theme of the 111th IDEA Annual Conference, New Vision for District Energy will explore emerging technologies, encourage collaborative discussion and enable peer exchange to accelerate continued investment in district energy, CHP, and microgrids. The deadline to submit is Friday, December 13, 2019.

Submit an Abstract

Facing more extreme weather and an aging grid, cities, campuses, communities, and military bases are seeking more reliable, efficient and resilient energy infrastructure to support local economies, achieve sustainability objectives and enhance quality of life. District Energy, CHP and Microgrids are proven technologies that are becoming increasingly valuable in the shift to a lower carbon, distributed energy paradigm.

IDEA2020 will bring together industry leaders, energy and environmental experts, and business partners from around the globe to share expertise, explore emerging technologies, and discuss collaborative actions to drive investment in district energy, CHP, and microgrids.

Call for Presentations

Interested participants are encouraged to submit 75 word abstracts before the submission deadline.   IDEA conferences have recently been over-subscribed. Given the Washington DC venue, we expect strong participation and attendance. Case studies are required.  Commercial content is discouraged.  Presentations should aim to reinforce the conference theme: “New Vision for District Energy.
