Just a few quick but very important reminders before many of you head out for IDEA2024. Please note, all times listed are Eastern Time (EDT)

First, the IDEA2024 Registration Desk is open on Sunday! If you’re getting in early, we're open from 3:00-5:00pm EDT at the Crystal Registration Desk, right on the lobby level. Come by early, say 'hi', get your badge, and beat the morning rush!

After you pick up your badge, enjoy a night out on your own but get ready for a busy Monday!

On Monday, the preconference workshop, District Energy for Sustainable Cities, starts at 8:00am in Oceans 1-2, with breakfast served for workshop attendees at 7:00am in Oceans 3-4. Both rooms are located on the main floor, lobby level. Workshop speakers will convene for breakfast in the Palani room from 7:00-7:45am.

Please note: you must be pre-registered to attend the workshop with lunch also served for workshop registrants. 

From 4:00-5:10pm, visit the IDEA Forums, open meetings to discuss current industry issues by specialty area. This year's Forums include District Cooling, Industry Leaders, District Energy Women's Initiative (DEWI), Future Energy, Business Development and Young Professionals Group (YPG). Consult the app for rooms.

Exhibit Setup takes place in Oceans 5-12 8:00am-4:00pm, with the Exhibit Hall officially open  5:15-6:30pm, with the Ribbon Cutting and Business Partners Welcome Reception, sponsored by CenTrio, Enwave, & Johnson Controls.

After the hall closes, join us in the Crystal Ballroom for the Annual  Awards & Welcome Dinner from 7:00-9:30pm, where we will honor the IDEA System of the Year, Norm Taylor Award winner and 2023 DE Space Winners.

Monday is an extremely busy day with the preconference workshop, exhibit hall opening, forums, and Annual Awards & Welcome Dinner. Please consult the Event App for detailed location and times, but here's a quick summary of events.

District Energy for Sustainable Cities workshop goes from 8:00am-3:50pm in Oceans 1-2, Breakfast and Lunch for the workshop will be served in Oceans 3-4 at 7:00am and 12:00pm respectively. Please note: you must be pre-registered to attend the workshops/enjoy breakfast and lunch.

Exhibitor Setup set-up takes place today in Oceans 5-12, with exhibit hall hall opening at 5:15pm with the Ribbon Cutting ceremony and Business Partners Welcome Reception until 6:30pm..

Some very important reminders for IDEA2024 as we head into a very busy Tuesday of education, exhibits and opportunities to connect. Please note, all times listed are Eastern Time.

First, if you haven’t picked up your registration materials, please do so ASAP. Registration opens at 7:00am sharp at the Crystal Registration Desk. 

If you are a main program speaker today, you must attend the Speaker & Moderator Orientation Meeting (with Breakfast) at 7:00am in Palani to get last-minute instructions regarding your presentation.

Tuesday has a lot going on and you’ll want to make sure you’ve downloaded the Event App to keep up. From Breakfast with Business Partners, Two Opening Plenary Panel Sessions, a Keynote Address Lunch with Brian Deese, former Director of the National Economic Council, 28 sessions, and breaks throughout the day in the exhibit hall (with coffee, dessert, and refreshments), you’ll need to be on your game to get through the day. 

For women working in the industry, please join the District Energy Women's Initiative (DEWI) in the exhibit hall from 2:00 -2:40pm.

We close the day with a Cocktail Reception with the Business Partner Exhibitors in the Exhibit Hall, in Oceans 5-12 from 5:30-6:45pm. If you’re a younger attendee who has been in district energy for less than ten years, join up with the Young Professionals Group (YPG) in the rear of the hall for the YPG Happy Hour Meetup.

Once the hall closes, you have a free night to meet with friends and colleagues, old and new. But don't be out too late - we have a packed Wednesday planned to close out the conference.

A few very important reminders for IDEA2024 as we head into the final day of education, exhibits and opportunities to connect. Please note, all times listed are Eastern Time.

Registration opens at 7:00am sharp at the Crystal Registration Desk, closing at 4:00pm.

If you’re speaking as part of today's program, you need to be in the Speaker Orientation Meeting (with Breakfast) at 7:00am in Palani, to get final updates on your session.

While Wednesday is the last day of the conference, there’s A LOT going on and you’ll want to make sure you’ve downloaded the Event App to keep up. From Breakfast in the Exhibit Hall, 42 sessions, Annual Business Meeting Lunch with the unveiling of this year's Innovation Awards winner and multiple breaks in the exhibit hall (with coffee, dessert, and refreshments), you’ll need to be on your game to get through the day. 

Make sure you join us in the exhibit hall at from 1:45-2;25 as we raffle off prizes from the IDEA2024 App Game.

If you are heading out tonight or tomorrow, we want to thank everyone who joined the conference.
