Community Colleges Optimizing Energy Use with Thermal Energy Storage (TES) Tanks

Summary
In 2014, Alamo Colleges completed the installation of thermal energy storage tanks on three of its campuses. This presentation will focus on the reliability and replicability of the tanks, and their role in helping these community colleges meet the cooling needs of campuses with increasing student population. It will also discuss economic benefits, energy reduction, lessons learned, and the integration of the TES in the colleges’ sustainability initiatives.
