Thermal Distribution Workshop

This in-depth workshop will enable utilities directors, system designers, operators, and safety professionals to develop an in-depth knowledge of the technology, operations and maintenance of district heating and cooling thermal distribution systems on campuses, in communities and cities. With a focus on best practices and peer exchange, the workshop format enables deeper discussion among industry professionals responsible for design, construction, maintenance and optimization of underground steam, hot water and chilled water piping systems. Attendees can expect real-world case examples and active dialogue among experienced industry professionals. Key takeaways will include proven approaches for delivering highly reliable service and customer satisfaction with an additional emphasis on steam to hot water conversion of distribution systems. Decarbonization Workshop

District energy systems on college and university campuses continue to set higher standards for efficiency, resiliency and environmental performance. As institutional carbon reduction targets rapidly approach, campus energy systems will be critical to reducing carbon footprints and achieving results at community scale. This workshop will feature discussions on utility master planning, technology pathways for achieving near or net zero targets and a range of business model approaches.
