The City of Montreal Assesses the Viability of a Large-Scale District Energy System

08-29-2023 11:54

Session Abstract

For the City of Montreal, Dunsky assessed the viability of establishing a district energy system in an inner-city neighborhood undergoing major revitalization. The analysis included numerous technologies including geothermal, sewage water heat recovery and waste heat from a planned data centre. Recommendations on governance of the system and the role of the city were developed. In this presentation we will discuss our methodology and our positive conclusions on the viability of the District Energy System.

If our presentation is accepted, we are hoping to co-present with our client from the City of Montreal (name of person to be confirmed).
