Session Abstract

I shall be sharing with the audience the concept of installing an absorption chiller at the back end of the turbine-driven centrifugal chillers to use the latent heat of backpressure steam and save electricity and water at district cooling CHP/Cogen plants. It will be presented in the form of a case study through few slides showing the concept, schematic, and results achieved at the Santa Ana City Central District Cooling facility in 2019.
