Session Abstract

Drawing on technical examples, lessons learned, and best practices from design/build projects for CHP and CUP systems for a major healthcare client (with potential to tour site facility pending approval from the client), we will comprehensively explore the “3rd Generation” of CHP & how benefits and drivers have evolved and expanded over time, while also unveiling the corresponding challenges. We will highlight how incorporating storage, renewables, and other energy supply technologies (with sophisticated control & monitoring) can evolve to a Micro-Grid solution with tremendous returns, reliability, and overall value, as well as touch on key points for determining if your facility is a good candidate for such energy technologies.
