Making the UND's Vision for Clean, High-Efficiency Energy a Reality

09-19-2023 12:00

Session Abstract

For the University of North Dakota, providing a comfortable environment during even the coldest winters is crucial. After 65 years, its coal-powered steam plant was no longer up to the task.  UND was ready to innovate and invest in clean energy solutions.

UND and Johnson Controls worked closely to remove the old plant, and design, build and optimize a natural gas plant on a different site on campus; realizing the university’s vision for clean, high-efficiency energy.
