Case Studies in Creating “A New Normal” Level of Improved Hydronic System Performance Via Effective Air and Dirt Elimination

09-13-2023 13:23

Session Abstract

This presentation will address how air entrained in a hydronic system fluid negatively affects the start-up, TAB, Cx, first-year warranty period, and ongoing operation & maintenance of typical hydronic cooling and heating systems that contain a fluid-air mixture. This session will focus on numerous case studies documenting system performance improvements after air/dirt removal; on an energy modeling analysis of the estimated energy cost increase of air in CHW/HW systems serving a 400k sf hospital; and a proven approach for sharing with owners and other key-decision makers the utility cost, non-utility cost, and non-financial benefits of air-/dirt-free systems, using SPP, NPV, ROI, MIRR and other financial metrics.See examples of CS provided
