Machine Learning to Optimize Campus Cooling

Session Abstract

Machine learning was implemented to determine the most economical dispatch of chilled water assets to serve the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center campus. This case study will include the details of project planning, testing, analysis, and implementation. Advanced technical solutions were applied to the chilled water system with 25,000 ton production mix of one steam turbine-driven chiller and two satellite plants with different hydraulic systems serving 23 buildings consisting of 7.5 million square feet.
