Session Abstract

Oakland University has a central heating plant with a (5) year old 4.6MW Cogeneration system and (50) year old high temperature high pressure heating water district heating distribution system. A new master plan show new Buildings will be added in next 15 years.

The master plan is being developed using modeling tools to create (3) future scenarios with multiple supply technologies

Our goal is to reduce; energy, capital replacement cost, O&M cost, as well as raising efficiency of operation, utilization of renewable energy, in a sensible way and at the same time a new long-term energy infrastructure be sustainable, and reducing GHG gas emission to move towards carbon neutrality.
