The University of Chicago’s Infrastructure Resiliency Model addresses probability, severity, and recoverability of risk to prioritize maintenance and infrastructure investments. AEI and the University adapted this model into the development of its campus utility master plan. This model will now identify infrastructure systems dependencies that can cause cascading failures. This session will describe the model’s expanded resilience utility and establish its added value to system investment decision making as it supports campus business continuity.
