Wiley|Wilson conducted a comprehensive utilities masterplan study for Carnegie Mellon University. A major part of the study focused on improving and modernizing the thermal utilities systems, including significant energy and water considerations. In this presentation we review the study process and share lessons learned about how different variables affect the success of various energy and water savings strategies. This presentation aims to help other universities target specific energy and water savings initiatives for their campuses.
