Session Abstract

ICF will highlight our recent work with NYSERDA to identify, evaluate, and rank opportunities for geothermal district heat pumps at New York campuses and high-density downtown areas. ICF will discuss favorable characteristics and strategies for campuses and buildings to incorporate district heat pumps. These include utilizing existing infrastructure, maximizing available space, and incorporating flexible planning using hybrid solutions. The presentation will include an assessment of community heat pump opportunities in Rochester, where plans for a geothermal district pilot could coincide with downtown redevelopment.
