There were several unique challenges to improving the utility infrastructure at Ohio State University. All were overcome by creative financial structuring, equipment sizing and close collaboration between the host, OEM and university stakeholders.
Environmental improvements - SGT-700 in CHP Vs. Coal or Grid power mix as well as the potential for the SGT-700 to incorporate clean fuels such as hydrogen, should they become available in the future
Space considerations - Oversized GT is a good solution for today, but capable of higher output as the university grows without the addition of another GT or capital of an additional project
