Summary

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) can be a powerful tool for assessing the feasibility of district energy systems. Utilizing GIS software, FVB Energy analyzed the applicability of district cooling throughout the entire State of Qatar, based on a grading methodology that incorporated GIS data, zoning information, and proximity to critical infrastructure for condenser cooling including access to treated sewage effluent (TSE) and seawater.
