Decarbonizing the US’s Largest Community College District

Session Abstract

LACCD has a carbon-free energy target by 2040. It has developed integrated energy resource plans for each of the 9 campuses that include conservation, central plant electrification, and renewable generation projects. Unique for this project is the creation of BIM and energy models for over 150 buildings, which enhance quality of analysis and lay the groundwork for future a digitized energy management.  This session covers the methodology of assessment and key lessons learned.
