Session Abstract

In 2018,  AEI took roles as Executive Engineer for a campus modernization and Engineer of Record for its new district energy system. AEI designed the Thermal Energy Center; an all-electric central utility plant utilizing heat recovery chillers, closed loop geothermal and thermal energy storage to satisfy thermal demands of the 3-million square foot campus. The plant is carbon free, more than three times efficient as code and awarded a significant grant from the local utility.
