Optimizing your Microgrid to fit your Resilience and Sustainability Goals

08-29-2023 10:48

Session Abstract

Recognizing that microgrids are now being deployed more readily as part of district systems, we will explore variations that can be deployed at various scales to replace deployment of standby diesel generators (use Emory University’s example), include  heat recovery, renewable energy,  battery storage and reclaimed water (WaterHub review.)  In addition, most microgrids can be remotely monitored and operated (Florida International University case study) allowing for 3rd party partnerships that do not require initial capital outlay.
