Remote condition monitoring in district energy systems

08-08-2023 15:44

Session Abstract

District energy systems ensure efficient and reliable heating and cooling distribution. To increase efficiency and reliability further, more and more suppliers start employing digital solutions for the systems, including remote condition monitoring. It is implemented using sensors transmitting the information on the system performance through gateways to a cloud for monitoring and analysis.

Digitalizing the most energy consuming and most prone to failure system parts, it’s easier to realize energy saving potential and prevent costly failures before those occur. Maintenance expenses with such solutions can be reduced as well as no scheduled manual check-ups are needed anymore – the maintenance team visits the site when it’s really needed.
