Registration

Includes all in-person conference sessions, meals, networking events, exhibit hall and access to all conference recordings and content after the conference concludes. All prices are USD.

*Speakers receive 15% off their conference registration. IDEA will provide instructions to approved speakers on how to enjoy this discount..

Includes the workshop session, breakfast and lunch. Attendees also have access to the forums, Annual IDEA General Meeting, and opening reception in the exhibit hall Monday evening. 

*Please note students and spouses/significant others are not eligible to attend the workshops.

Each in-person exhibiting company receives one complimentary full conference registration and two complimentary Exhibit Hall Only badges. Additional exhibit hall only badges can be purchased at $375 per person. 

Additional exhibit booth personnel registration is designated for in-person exhibiting companies to add additional personnel to work the trade show booth at the event. This option is strictly limited to exhibiting company staff in the trade show exhibit hall and is not intended for non-exhibiting company attendees to pay to visit exhibitor booths.

Additional exhibitor registration includes all functions in the exhibit hall (receptions, breakfast, breaks, desserts). Registration does not include conference sessions. Workshops, luncheons,  and technical tours are available for additional fees. All prices are USD.

Spouse/Significant Other registration includes: Opening Welcome Reception in the Exhibit Hall;  Breakfasts in the Exhibit Hall; Wed. Evening Reception in the Exhibit Hall.  Items cannot be purchased a la carte. Registration does not include conference luncheons or conference technical content. All prices are USD.  

Full time students, not working in the district energy industry are invited to attend IDEA2026. To qualify for the student rate you must be a full time student at a college, university, or training school, not currently working in the District Energy industry. You must register with a .edu address and provide a copy of your student ID. Please bring your student ID with you to the conference as IDs will be verified upon check in.

Qualified Canadian attendees will receive a 20% disount to account for the exchange rate. Please contact IDEA to receive a discount code if you qualify for the Canadian Rate.

The Canadian registration rate is available exclusively to individuals and organizations whose primary residence or principal place of business is located in Canada. By requesting the Canadian rate, you certify that you meet this eligibility requirement. IDEA reserves the right to verify residency or business location and to adjust registration fees if eligibility criteria are not met.

Qualified government/military registrants will receive a 35% discount. You must contact IDEA to receive the discount code. Please make sure you qualify before contacting IDEA. 

To qualify for the government/military rate you must be active duty military personnel, an elected official, or employee of a federal, state or municipal agency or government body in a regulatory or policy for oversight role. If your organization is a "Government Agency" IDEA member, all registrants from your organization are eligible for this rate. 

Operations staff or third party personnel that operate a district energy system at a public university, military base or municipality are not eligible for this rate. Please note that government registrations are ineligible for other discounts. 

IDEA Member Organizations registering 5 or more attendees at the same time are eligible for a group volume discount of 10%. Volume discounts are not available for exhibitor, additional exhibitor, or non-member registrations. A volume discount is available only for members of IDEA completing full conference registration and must be processed as one transaction (group registration). Once submitted, individual registrations are not eligible for a volume discount due to credit card processing and transaction fees.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received by Wednesday, May 6, 2026 can choose from two options:

• Receive full credit to use towards an IDEA event within one year.
• Refunded in full, less a $200 cancellation fee.

Cancellation requests received after May 7, 2026 will NOT be eligible to receive a refund or credit for future event.

IDEA is not responsible for travel related delays or cancellations due to weather.
