Oberlin College is working ambitiously toward carbon neutrality by 2025. With a carbon-free electricity profile, this work focuses on campus thermal demands. In 2020, detailed design and engineering began on increasing efficiencies, transitioning the campus from steam-to-hot-water, and integrating renewable thermal sources. In this presentation, Meghan Riesterer (Oberlin College) and Michael Ahern (Ever-Green Energy) will provide comprehensive information on the technical and financial considerations that are leading this project to construction in 2021.
