Michael Schack, ENGIE

Michael has a strong experience in the industrial groups ENGIE (25 years of experience in varied management positions in France & Germany) and Air Liquide (8 years in R&D and commercial functions in France & Japan at the beginning of his career).

From January 2016 Michael was Director Heating and Cooling Networks and Cogenerations at Engie HQ in charge of worldwide business development support for District Heating and Cooling (DHC).

Since April 2018, Michael also took responsibility as interim manager for the Business Line “Decentralized Solutions for Cities & Territories” (B2T) including Business Development support for Green Mobility, Sustainable Cities and Airports, Silver Economy and Connectivity. From beginning of 2019 Michael still supervises DHC and ecodistrict activities and also Business Stakeholder Engagement at the merged Business Lines B2B&T.

Michael Schack is binational French/German, his wife is Japanese, and his adult daughters are world citizens. Michael is an engineer and holds a PhD in solid state physics.
