A Path to Neutrality Part II : Princeton University TIGER – From Design to Construction

10-31-2023 12:44

Session Abstract

Due to campus growth and a desire to address aging infrastructure in the face of bold carbon targets, Princeton University is beginning the conversion from steam-based heating with an all new geoexchange-based hot and chilled water central plant. The TIGER plant includes thermal energy storage and EN253 standard pre-insulated distribution piping. This presentation highlights the lessons learned during design and describes best practices to transition from design into construction in a historic university campus setting.
