10-25-2023 13:22

Session Abstract

South Coast Water District (SCWD) has proactively planned for a new oceanwater desalination plant in Southern California to improve sustainability/resiliency of the community’s water supply.  SCWD is committed to environmental stewardship (carbon neutrality) and consideration of a local reliable microgrid arrangement. This presentation highlights the challenges faced by SCWD to balance resiliency, reliability, and sustainability of its power supply, providing insight to municipal agencies and energy companies across the country.
