This presentation will highlight a novel volatile FDA approved steam-condensate surface filming corrosion inhibitor that provides a viable alternative to traditional surface filming corrosion inhibitors for corrosion protection of boiler steam-condensate systems.
Three main teaching points will be:
- Review the advances in surface adsorption inhibitor technology for steam boilers.
- Cover the practical application and differences between the new classes of surface adsorption corrosion inhibitors in terms of their comparative performance, injection location, and market authority clearances such as FDA and NSF.
- Present performance data on applications in operating steam boilers, with comparisons to alternate condensate technologies.
