Summary

MIT has undertaken a 44 MW CHP plant expansion to address greenhouse gas emissions and improve system resiliency. The significant scale of this facility presented many challenges for the project team to address, among them designing the mission critical functionality and constructability of a major utility plant into a dense and vibrant urban environment. This presentation will address how the Owner, Architect, Engineer, and the Construction Manager worked together to address these challenges.
